LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA, Tuesday May 20, 2008. **EXCLUSIVE** Shayne lands a big fish! Lamas was the winner of Matt Grant's affection in the latest series of 'The Bachelor'. He proposed to her in the last episode. Shayne, the daughter of actor Lorenzo Lamas, was seen reading a stack of celebrity magazines and a Tori Spelling's autobiography as she enjoyed a day in the sun. As temperatures soared, she cooled off by taking a dip in the ocean. At the shore she met a fisherman who let her try fishing and she was delighted to catch an enormous fish within only a few minutes, but was sure to carefully return it to the sea.
Shanye Lamas, one of the contestants looking for love this season on ABC's hit show "The Bachelor," is the daughter of one of Hollywood's most indomitable bachelors: Lorenzo Lamas of "Falcon Crest" fame.
The bronzed and blonde 22-year-old is one of 25 bachelorettes hoping to win the heart of British bachelor Matt Grant - and it seems from last night's premiere episode, the show's leading man has already taken a fancy to her.
The young Lamas, like her golden-tressed father, is an actor - or at least she's trying. Her profile on the online movie database IMDb.com lists a handful of appearances on the soap opera "General Hospital" and the role of "red bikini girl" in the upcoming film "Endless Bummer."
