The Potomac River is the “Nation’s River” and a boater’s destination
The Potomac River flows directly through the capital city of the United States, which is why it is also called “The Nation’s River.” The waters are known to be among the most beautiful in the nation and among the best for sightseeing tours. From these boating tours on the Potomac River, you can clearly see the Washington D.C monuments of George Washington and Abraham Lincoln, among others. With over 380 miles, the river offers the perfect blend of city and rural. There are many places to take your boat out; however, be aware that as you are going through the nation's capital, you may want to slow down on the partying because this section of the river is highly policed.
